Colette Huzinec serves as SmithBucklin’s vice president and chief human resources officer, providing strategic and operational leadership for all human resources functions. This includes oversight of the company’s talent acquisition, engagement and management initiatives, designed to identify, recruit, assess, develop and retain people who will excel within the company and deliver outstanding results for SmithBucklin client organizations. In addition, she is charged with articulating, protecting and advocating the SmithBucklin Culture.
Since Colette joined SmithBucklin in 2004, she has been responsible for creating and driving the talent development strategy; spearheading the launch of SmithBucklin’s Learning Center; implementing a comprehensive new employee orientation program; assimilating and on-boarding new executives and leaders; and designing developmental curricula and promotion planning initiatives, which include an Executive Boot Camp, People Manager Effectiveness program and a 360 degree feedback assessment program. Colette was also involved in the creation of the SmithBucklin Leadership Learning Forum, which she continues to manage and co-facilitate with SmithBucklin’s President & CEO, Henry Givray.
Prior to joining SmithBucklin, Colette worked for six years at Accenture as a human performance manager, consulting for Fortune 100 companies. She is a member of the Human Capital Institute, Society for Human Resource Management and the American Society for Training and Development.
Colette holds a double bachelor’s degree in psychology and business studies from the University of Leeds in England and she earned designation as a Human Capital Strategist in 2008.
