Savings
Retirement Plan
The Employee Retirement Plan consists of Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) and 401(k) elements. This plan affords employees a means through automatic payroll deductions to help save for the future.
- Employee Stock Ownership
In June 2005, ownership of the SmithBucklin Corporation was transferred from financial investors to SmithBucklin employees through the establishment of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Through the ESOP all employees on an equal basis were given the opportunity to purchase SmithBucklin stock. The ESOP has allowed SmithBucklin to be 100 percent employee-owned, ensuring continuity, strength and growth for all those who are part of the SmithBucklin family: our clients, employees and professional colleagues.
- 401(k)
The 401(k) element provides employees an opportunity to save for their futures. Employees can maximize their retirement savings by contributing on a tax-deferred basis and investing in a wide array of options including stocks, bonds and mutual funds.
Flexible Spending Accounts
SmithBucklin provides employees, full-time or part-time working a minimum of 24-hours per week with an opportunity to reduce taxable income by setting aside pre-tax dollars to pay for health care expenses and/or dependent care expenses.
