SmithBucklin Acquires Inventures, Inc.

CHICAGO, Ill. & SAN RAMON, Calif., – May 14, 2013 – SmithBucklin announced today that it acquired Inventures, Inc., a pioneer in developing, launching, managing and growing industry alliances across the high-tech, clean/green energy and healthcare markets. These alliances help their members collaborate, accelerate innovation and realize commercial opportunities. The announcement was made by Henry Givray, president and CEO of SmithBucklin, and Deepak Kamlani, founder and CEO of Inventures.


Inventures will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of SmithBucklin as part of its Technology Industry Practice led by Carolyn Dolezal, executive vice president. Inventures retains its highly respected brand name and remains headquartered in San Ramon, Calif., with Kamlani continuing as president of Inventures. Kamlani will also become a member of SmithBucklin’s Corporate Management Team.
